On my 2.4 under the carpet there are two platic retaining clips/buttons one either side of the lever base on the bulkhead that needs to be removed to facilitate the removal of the gaiter. Once removed/pulled back the whole lever removal is evident. All in all about 15-20 minutes toil. As stated the gaitor will pull over the grip. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Thanks Guys... Re Fitted my cubby box lid... What a difference.... Sooooooo much nicer and so well made.... I can see a pair of the FCX leather sunvisors on the horizon.....
