Defender heater panels connections
Are the heater elements in series or parallel???


I mean:

parallel =

series =  Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

I mean R1 is the bottom part of the seat and R2 is the backrest, so R1 AND R2 are ONE seats

dgardel - believe they're in series as if one part goes the whole lot malfunctions. You can check easily by unplgging the connectors and using the continuity tester on a multimeter. On mine the continuity test was fine on the seat base but failed on the backrest.

England 1998 Defender 90 V8 Petrol 50th Auto Atlantis Blue
I have had a new passenger seat base under waranty as it had stopped heating up. The back rest was still working fine. So must be parallel?
