BMW Wiper Blades..
My landys wiper blades are on the way out, went in a relatively new BMW recently, 11 plate and notice the wiper blades have no frame, just solid bits of rubber...is anyone aware of blades like this suitable for a LR... Smile

I've got Bosch aero twin copies from eBay on mine, and they are exactly like that.

I've got the Bosh regular type wipers on mine. How good are the Aero's? Currently on offer at the moment only 9.50 each. Shocked Last time I checked they were quite a bit more than that. I'm guessing they would give a slightly better clearance on the rear too from the tyre? $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

No probs. They are very good so don't expect to wait long for them to arrive. Don't suppose you could take a couple of photo's when fitted? Would be interesting to see. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

I replaced originals with aeros and when they were ready for replacement I went back to standard wipers. The reason being aero blades are curved to follow a curved screen but with the Defender having a flat screen I just went back to standard straight wipers

I get the cheapy aeros from ebay, replace them approx every 18 months.

Find them to be far superior to standard ones, and also cost around £7, so doubly better.

I just replace the rubber blade in the wiper arm. Replacement rubber blades are very cheap, can be cut to whatever length you want. I keep some spare lengths in the underseat storage area. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Just an update, not that impressed with the aero blades, the actual wipers seem to need to work harder to move them and if just cleaning the windscreen with the washer jets they dont seem that effective..

Steve will add the photos..not forgotten.. Embarassed

Could be due to the way the pressure is applied to the screen and then creating more friction? If so probably not good for the wiper motors then! $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
