If it was a Safety Devices cage they supply plates that are exactly the same size as the cage plates and come with gaskets.

I have a similar problem in my 110 where I removed the seat belt anchor bars for the load area seats. There are a series of regular-ish bolt holes and some larger 30-40mm dia. holes in the corners. I plan to fill them by fitting some suitably sized ali plates to the underside of the wheelboxes, stuck on with Sikaflex.
They're currently covered with duct tape Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

Are these holes in the wheel arches? Do you have seatbelts in rear as they could be from the side facing seat belt mounting bars going on the sizes you mention.

LRA - I did have duct tape but the stickyness has worn off and now water gets through
RD - There were seats in the rear when I got the car, but sold them as not all parts present and wasnt going to fully load the 110 with 10 people! So holes from the roll cage and from the rear seat belts. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

I have just refitted my internal B-C-D internal roll cage to my new defender and it was difficult to mark the 'C' post holes so I can see they are elongated JE Zulu 110 now sold

Picked up some 1.2mm aluminium plate from Toolstation. The plate was originally designed to be a kick plate on a door. Now its cut up and riveted in place covering some of the holes with a layer of a Sikaflex as a seal. One side done, the other to do and the holes from the side facing seats to bung up as well. 1999 Defender TD5 110
