My 90 is poorly......
Sent the Td5 in for its annual service on Friday. Got a phone call to say it desperately needed front and rear brake pads, so I told them to fit them.

Got another call to tell me that both front and rear callipers were seized and the pistons could not be pushed back. Told them to fit new callipers. I said no rush, I would collect Saturday to allow them to get parts and fit.

Got a call at closing time today to say that they have fitted new callipers, but one of them is leaking and they can't now do anything until Monday. Sad

Censored happens I suppose. A bit frustrating though. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

A similar thing happened to me, we used Britpart calipers and one of them had been ground too close to one of the fluid ports (when the manufacturer was fettling the casting) and when bleeding there was a hairline crack in the casing and fluid was p*ssing out there, only noticed after about 10 mins of trying to bleed the brakes and ran out of fluid as it was collecting in a big puddle on the gravel drive so I couldn't see it Rolling Eyes ....not impressed, thats the last time I ever bought britpart rubbish Evil or Very Mad Optimists say the glass is half full..

Hmmm I suspect the garage may have used pattern parts. Anyhow, its their problem to sort it. So long as they don't charge me 'genuine parts' money. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Unless you specified "genuine" I think you may be right, but as you say, it is their problem to fix it, but unfortunately the longer term reliability of said pattern parts will lie with you, I learned that the hard way too. I hope your 90 is feeling better soon Thumbs Up Optimists say the glass is half full..

I hope you changed since? If they're like that just fitting there is no way I'd use them or rely on them for braking. Had experiences too of their stuff though I was lucky it was only light lenses but they broke out of the box just taking them apart as you would to fit. Rolling Eyes ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Embarassed Embarassed Steve, unfortunately they are still on, I was a bit snookered at the time and just replaced the faulty one but they work, for now, although they will be coming off sometime in the near future to be replaced with genuine (or better) with stainless pistons Thumbs Up Optimists say the glass is half full..
