Me and a few mates were out in the Bala forests over the weekend when in front of us a Defender 90 was trying to take a corner in one manoeuvre that clearly needed a 3 point turn and before we knew he was nearly over. Nothing we couldn’t help him with but our on-board photographer managed to catch this interesting image of my brother trying to help. The description of the picture was as follows:
Warning! this is ADVANCED LANDROVER DOGGING this is not for the beginner! our expert just makes it look easy, notice the apparent casualness with which he awaits his turn.......in reality he's poised, ready to ride her like an animal..... Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Check out my YouTube channel for green laning and Land Rover "how to" videos. |

Do you know the owner of that 90 personally? how long has he owned it? I'm sure its just a coincidence [same good taste lol] .. but it looks very similar to one stolen a few weeks ago. Link here http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17966.html As said, most unlikely ... but worth checking Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

I don't know (he was a bit of a prat to be honest) but the reg and contact details of all the people on the drive were taken by Dave Mitchel of Landcraft who you can easily find on tinternet.
Now you say it, for such a well speccd 90 he did seem pretty clueless, although you could equally say that about me! Check out my YouTube channel for green laning and Land Rover "how to" videos. |

...and another tangent.
Was that the Adventure Day or Adventure Plus day? I go to Bala quite often with the Motorhome and was thinking of taking the Landy one of the times to join in with one of the Landcraft days. Just interested in the terrain? Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

It was the adventure plus day. Its weird because it just depends on the weather really. I've done both days and sometimes not noticed much difference. This one was completely different though and you had to take care and do a lot of extra to make sure you didnt damage anything! Ellebarto, I was planning an adventure day. Is it good for a standard landy? I have done some harsher off roading but in someone else car. That would a bit frightful if i was going to use mine. I assumed it was similar to a land rover experience day, would that be correct? cheers |

I'd say it was non damaging! There is deep mud, hill climbs and descents that if your new to this kind of driving might worry you at first sight but all well within your cars ability. It's marginally more challenging than the experience day! Check out my YouTube channel for green laning and Land Rover "how to" videos.
