Spare Wheel Thoughts
Changing the X Tec wheels to something a little larger Thumbs Up
Question is whether to cough up even more and buy the spare to match or leave the current 16 on the back or buy an older wheel and sell the 5 alloys together?

Heading towards leaving the original in place to keep the cost down.

Any thoughts on having a matching spare or not??

How much difference will there be in rolling radius between new and existing? If more than 5% it wouldn't be good as a spare.

Personally I wouldn't do it, I'd just bite the bullet and buy the same as spare, especially if its staying on the Defender.

The rolling radius will be almost identical as the larger wheel has a lower profile tyre

Matched wheel if you have to change them. Although if I were buying a limited edition I wouldn't devalue it by changing to oversize wheels. John

You pays your money and makes your choice. Don;t really see it as devaluing more improving to suit my tastes and usage.
Value is of little importance on a long term investment

I was talking to dad about this tonight, i said to him he should sell his rims on his xtech 90 and get the 5 spoke sport alloys from Twisted. If your going to do it sell the 5 and get a complete set of 5 with matching spare mate Thumbs Up even though i have nice shiny white wheels on my 90 and a grubby steel on the back Laughing CSK Automotive
