Look no further than Exped downmat pump DLX. I have a #7 but they do a #9 as well. they're filled with down and are SUPREMELY comfortable. I've tried them all - thermarest, alpkit, nothing can touch an exped for warmth and comfort.

2000 Defender 90 Td5 HT Epsom Green
-1 for Thermorest. I have been using one for years for when I'm in the the mountains and not much can beat it when weight is an issue. However, if your camping out of the car (which I'm assuming is right because you haven't been carrying a pillow around with you) then a proper air mattress is the best.
