what switch did you go for was it a cheap britpart one Best one to go for is the Lucas one which is a allmakes or britpart OEM spec, or buy genuine CSK Automotive www.cskautomotive.co.uk Like us on Facebook - www.facebook.com/csklr Follow us on Instagram - @cskautomotive |

can't remember but could have been the cheap one(the more i hear about that brand the more i distrust them)so,you think it could simply be the ind.switch assembly?

Britpart gets a lot of stick but purely as most of there branded parts are shocking Get the Lucas one mate its half the price of a genuine one but the same quality Can be brought from a Britpart supplier, MPS trading has my great service and im sure if you contact them they can sort you out a good price CSK Automotive www.cskautomotive.co.uk Like us on Facebook - www.facebook.com/csklr Follow us on Instagram - @cskautomotive |

A long shot, but if it is a Puma the Earth strap is screwed on a chassis outrigger beneath the drivers feet. You can see it if you look behind the front wheel. Check that it is still fixed FIRMLY to the outrigger. Also check that the battery terminals are securely in place. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

interesting.another thing to check.
re the radio it completely shuts down,no illumination, dead!! the only way ican stop the wipers shuddering across the screen is to pull over and switch off the engine and then go again. oh,and just to make it more of a pain it's an intermittent fault. |

thanks for asking.
I also have a to do list (they're jobs I can do and therefore no one but me to blame if they ain't done right). I'm pretty much all sorted me thinks. I'm looking at getting a new MAP sensor as I've given the current a jolly good clean and mr truck appears to be working faultlessly now (most of the time). I have to say I am wondering if there's an element of me having intermittent hearing. before injector learn (thanks again porny for that) there was serious injector noise but following that and the MAP sensor clean most of the time mr truck runs sweet ie circa 40 mph top gear incline and couldn't hear anything - was so staggered I had to turn the stereo off and open the window......all I could hear was the buzz / induction noise I've cleaned the map sensor a couple of times and I'm very much of the opinion that this is the weak link but having been told they're £100+ plus to buy I'm trying to see how / if I can get a replacement through warranty.? wishing you hadn't asked when you get time would like to know how you get on sorting you probelm(s). good luck. |
