Dunnow if this has been mentioned on here before but here goes!
Who has heard of the Land Rover Social Venture? A while back I filled out some Land Rover questionnaire thing to do with a "Social Venture". Some time later I had an email saying I was through to the second stage. Today I had a phone call saying I had been 'Selected' and that I was invited to Solihull in February for the launch of "Talk Land Rover". I don't really have any other details but did notice it had been touched on in the RRSport forum here: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/post359285.html And the Disco3 forum here: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic86374.html Neither of which really help! Any info or similar experiences would be helpful. Andy. |

Likewise. Got through, had two chasers and thought " hang on, I have enough interaction with marketing weasels without volunteering myself to do it for free!"

I am signed up for this. It is being called Talk Landrover, and kicks off in Feb with a day in solihull where invitees meet at the factory, get shown around, and also get a free session at the LRE too. 2016 D4 HSE

Well, finally had the booking through for this. I'm attending on the 26th Feb with a hotel stop over on the night of the 25th (paid for by Land Rover). It looks like a packed event (time wise that is) with a factory tour, a Land Rover driving experience in the 'Jungle Track' and a Talk Land Rover workshop. I think I read somewhere that there were only 120 places spread over the 3 day event so we'll see what it's like and post back here afterwards.
If any of you guys on here are there on the same day, shout up and we can swap stories! Andy. |

Carnations...hmm...maybe not, but I'm bound to be in the bar!
I understand there are 40 places each day. I guess there will be a few staying over night. The RR owners will look like successful business types, the Disco owners will look like successful business types with big families, the FL owners will look like people trying to be successful business types and the Defender owners will be a broad spectrum of society but will have signs of grease under their finger nails from a recent road side repair. However above all we'll all (hopefully) be Land Rover enthusiasts I was gonna nip out and visit my folks just off the M69 as its close, but I don't think I'll get there until 8 or 9pm so as mentioned the bar will be favorite! See you there. Andy. |
