Wheel Decisions!
I am definitely wanting black wheels for the 90. The wheels I really like are the ones Nene sell as well as Gary at Alive and I have seen Nobby has them as well. I think they look brilliant Thumbs Up but all in 20 inch and am worried about harshness of the ride so was thinking maybe 18inch instead of 20. Ive had a look through the wheel threads before but still have not seen anyone running them. Has anyone seen a defender with these 18's on?? The 90 is running standard suspension set up. Il post a pick of a Nene 110 with them on below.

Cheers

Sam

I think your right on going for 18"s because otherwise you'll have rubber band tyre's on 20"s and also a bigger risk of kerbing them.. Black is also the best choice. Thumbs Up No Guts, No Glory.

Daz110 on here has a nice set of black 18's (iirc) with bfg ats on. Very smart look. Arches filled nicely and not too 'in yer face'. Worked well off road as well Thumbs Up

I think there is a pic on the Wales trip thread somewhere, if not I'm sure he will be pleased to post one up.

I was running 20's on my 90 and they were perfect, when i fitted them too dads 110 he hated them and i got to admit the drive was horrid. Im currently running 18 sport rims now. 20's are ok with the right tyre size Thumbs Up CSK Automotive

Yes I do like the Twisted (Silverline) wheels Thumbs Up but was fancying something different.

I quite like the 18 inch Boost replicas in black but I am unsure whether the load weighting is enough at 1050kg?? Embarassed http://www.4x4tyres.co.uk/defender-15inch-...-2999.html

Chris out of interest what tyres were on your 20's? They did look very smart Thumbs Up Hopefully black is easier to keep clean compared to your white ones!

I'd still be interested to see if any one has seen any of the alloys above in 18 and not 20 inch though?? I might see if Gary (Alive) has sold many sets of 18s compared to 20's.

Cheers All

Those remind me of the Comstar wheels I used to have on my Honda motorbikes in the 80s. Smile Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender
