I got a set of Mantec rock sliders and not too impressed as they are rusting where the powder coating is poor quality - mainly inside tubes that go into the outriggers.

For the money and the brand I would have hoped they would have been galvanised and powder coated.

I will take them off and get them blasted and hot dipped and te powder coated i think.

My Mantec roof bars are doing the same. Won't be buying from them twice.

Mahlzeit Boris!

Thanks for taking the time to upload those pictures & sketch. Nice bit of fabrication you've done there.

Time for me to break out the welder I think! Real trucks don't have spark plugs

Got the camera today. Not that many pictures and they are not that telling. But in case someone is interested ...

Shows the ends with with the 'bend'.

Sliders with bars.

End again. It didn't come out as sharp a bend as I had wished for.

Trying brackets for the bulkhead. They need to come forward quite a bit.

Sliders with bulkhead brackets. The outrigger brackets at the back are u-shaped sections. Fitting needs to be done on car unless you are one hell of a pedant and get all the measurements and tolerances spot on with just measuring everything. Which I am not ...

Cheers
Boris
