Hi Mike proper synthetic rope no issues not new to this winching lark

As stated before and Ray Respool just to be sure

All I'd say is that winch sales should be banned unless you can demonstrate appropriate training seen some horrors Shocked

There are only a few winch ropes ive seen that are rated for the 9.5ti's temp - alot (even warn admit this of their own) arent - so i just wondered which you had...ive seen one in the states i will get as ive not seen one in the UK that meets the spec.

I dont think anything should be banned though - there are lots of idiots that do lots of things - but it is their right. Ive seen some people who train people on winching, do worse things than so called novice winchers - The skills to use a winch arent too disimilar to other skills though - there isnt a great deal special about them to say, lifting, climbing, rope access, rigging etc. Mike

9.5ti temp is no worse than 9.5xp's yes they get hot but as we said re-spool check the line and all is well.

Thumbs Up

as they brake through the drum the do get much hotter than the others - and rely on the line to aid cooling

checking is important but failure before then is also a risk Mike
