I would say D4 (as I love them) but with it being the commercial you lose all the seats. I don't use the seats in the back of the DC much but for some reason the second I removed them to do sound deadening suddenly I was asked for rides all the time!!

If you know 100% you don't need more than 2 seats go for the D4, otherwise the Defender will be the ultimate solution.

That can be dealt with, albeit a few hundred quid to make it really quiet.

I like d3 commercials, however, a day on d3 forum brings nothing but problem after problem and cries of woe. After working for a year in the LR trade, I decided they weren't for me. I'd only ever recommend the v8 to anybody too, if I really had to.
I'm in no position to be buying shiney new motors, but given the choice, it would be a Defender. If I want comfort, I'll take the Missus' car.

Sorry about that but they took all the sound proofing out of the 110 demo to fit into my new 90 - first come, first served and all that Rolling with laughter Thumbs Up

When I had a look round one of their new 90XS station wagons last week I did notice a distinct lack of any attempt at sound proofing. Think an order for some Dynamat will be the order of the day when mine is delivered.

In another 3 years it'll be close to 200,000 miles. Plan is to get back into changing every 3-4 years until such time as my need to do so many miles drops away, at which point a 110 will take pride of place. Until then..... Disco all the way it seems. Would be different if we didn't already have a Puma 90 Station Wagon, but two Defenders seems to be a bit pointless.

Glyn, haven't used the rear seats in my D3 in 4 years - the middle row only every other weekend, so something like the Atlantech occasional seat for the middle row keeps it VAT qualifying and meets my needs in that respect Thumbs Up

Bob, your love of Dynamat did come up in conversation with Keiron Mr. Green
