Washers/Spacers for standard spare wheel mount.
I'm going to have some 265/75's fitted to my standard Boost next week.

In preperation I want to sort out the spacers needed for the spare rack.

I'm guessing they don't need to be the full 30mm difference, just wondering how wide the washer/spacers need to be?

Thanks all! Craig Rogers

One option is to just use LR steel wheel nuts as spacers.

Cheers

The stock wheel carrier has "washers" on it, they are the galvanized bolt plates that look as big hexagonal (?) washers turned all the way towards the holder plate.
If you turn these out you can adapt according your needs.

pics would help but dont have any at hand.

I've seen a photo of them, mine has washers, but they are just washers, they are not threaded. Craig Rogers

My 265 GG AT2 fouled the wiper arm so I used some standard steel wheel nuts under the large flat nuts that were already on the carrier:

4mm thick is what you need.
The carrier bolts on the new ones aren't adjustable and a washer is the only easy solution.

I knew there's a reason I don't get rid of things.

I had an old Mountain Bike Handlebar lying around spare and it's perfect diameter.

So, i cut 3 sections 10mm in length then tidied them up with a bench grinder/wire wheel and voila! Perfect.
