Defender washing products
What do you use for your Defender for washing waxing ect? I soon need to get some more supplies and I'm tempted very much by Meguire's products. So can you recommend anything good you've used (Not super expensive)
Looking for shampoo & wax the whole lot really. Preferably something that leaves a wax shine too and wont loose it's shine after a day or two. Chillin In The Backwoods🇬🇧🇺🇸

Have a look at the Autoexpress website. They do product reviews and often group test shampoo and polish.

A while back halfords own polish (can't recall which one) came top of the list against some very expensive competition.

Just washed mine all over today.
I use Mer wax...capful in the bucket ..adds a little wax finish and lasts well.
Wonder wheels on the Boosts..and Jet washed all underneath.
So much salt!!?....need to shift it asap as it encourages rapid corrosion.

Hoping for fine morning to do finishing touches

Clemmo Make today a little better than yesterday but not so good as tomorrow....

Autoglym always gives good results, and is very easy to use. It's usually on offer as well. I'm currently using a range of Bilt Hamber products and have to say I'm pretty pleased so far. Their waxes are particularly focused on corrosion protection, which is a bonus on Defenders (even though they're aluminium bodied they still suffer with bi-metallic corrosion and there are some steel bits as we all know). I always think you could spend your whole life trying different shampoos / polishes / waxes (have a look at the Detailing World forum if you want to do that!) but you're better off just finding something at the right price that's easy to use and does a decent job. Especially on a Defender.

I'm going to continue using Bilt Hamber stuff for now. Good products at a good price. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

Agree with above I certainly won't be trying all sorts of things. Just some shampoos and waxes to me just seem to do nothing really and as soon as it rains it's no different to it being just washed with water in the first place. Currently using Supagard shampoo sachets which are good but of course I don't at the moment have any wax or polish perhaps I should look at theirs. Also difficult to find a wax that makes water bead up nicely. Chillin In The Backwoods🇬🇧🇺🇸
