Here is my Land Rover Defender 90 in Belize green. I bought it when it was six months old as a demonstrator from an LR Main Dealer. It has numerous upgrades, totalling over £3,500 and I have also recently fitted genuine Land Rover SVX alloy wheels and tyres that were worth £2,200 new.
Click image to enlarge I bought the 90 as a truck cab, and I have also converted it to county station wagon spec using genuine Land Rover parts throughout. It has the factory fitted alarm and immobiliser, and I added electric windows and remote central door locking. The headlining is genuine and all new, along with insulated Exmoor trim rubber matting throughout the rear. I fitted Exmoor trim outlast seats. Outlast is a thermal material that's warm in winter, yet cool in summer. Matching unused outlast seats are supplied for the rear along with Land Rover seat belt bars and LR seat belts. I went for the option of a two person bench seat on one side and single tip up seat on the other to leave room for bags etc. I haven't got around to fitting these with bars and seat belts as it suited me to have an open rear for the two dogs. The 90 has been carefully upgraded for off road use without compromising the on road handling. The galvanised Gwyn Lewis challenge spec suspension coupled with Old Man Emu shocks give excellent levels of articulation off road. Full protection of QT diff guards, HD steering bars, galvanised side sill bars and mantec alloy fuel tank guard are also fitted too. So the 90 is extremely capable off road, whilst looking like a pretty standard vehicle. The engine has been remapped by IRB Developments, has the IRB comprehensive EGR removal kit fitted and it also has a decat stainless steel exhaust. A full list of upgrades is below. It has done just over 62,000 miles and has been serviced from new at the local independent Land Rover specialist, Mansfield in Bury St Edmunds. In addition, it's had the diff oils changed every 18 months and regularly maintained to a very good level. It's had brake and coolant fluids changed twice and I'll organise this again just before selling along with booking it in for a service at Mansfield. It's possible to view the 90 here in Cambridge, and if you can show proof of insurance cover, you are welcome to test drive too. I can also take you out in it for a test drive, if that's easier. I'm looking for £12,995, you are welcome to PM or phone mobile 07540 921224 You can also view more pictures here... http://green90.wordpress.com Thanks, Steve Interior Upgrades Land Rover TD5 rev counter, clock moved to centre dash with extra carling switches Exmoor Trim Outlast thermal seats front and rear Mobile Storage Systems Deluxe Lockable Cubby Box Land Rover military insulation applied to roof and sides Exmoor Trim rear insulated load space mat and side panels Stereo with aux in for Iphone etc and front & rear speakers Twin batteries Exterior Upgrades Stainless Steel fittings throughout Mantec Spare Wheel Carrier Land Rover (Le Perei) Rear LED lights for stop/tail, Indicators and Fog. Always liked that truck Steve, are you replacing it with another one? Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

Hi Stephen I suspect so, but not just yet. Probably in about 3 or 4 years. With three teenagers and regular work trips to US, I'm just not getting the time to use it enough. With moving into the centre of Cambridge, also no longer have the two garages and barn, so no room to keep it out of the cold, damp etc when not bring used. As much as I'd like to keep it, I'd also hate to see it go downhill through lack of use. I've never been one for emotional attachment to vehicles, even Defenders, so logic says sell it now and get another in a few years when I have the time again. Depending on how LR do in replacing the Defender, I may even go for one of the new ones. Timing should be right, they should be out for a year or two by then.
I think it's just surprise at the fact that I'm selling it. |

Yeah, I'm pretty surprised... It looks loved. I did send the link to a friend who is shopping for a 90, I wish he'd have it.
I think it's soooo cool, in a great colour Good luck. |

Not quite, but its important that both parties feel they are getting a good deal. Also to be fair, buyer hasn't seen it in person yet, had a good friend check and test drive. I'm sure he'll be very pleased when he gets to see it next weekend.
Easy to say as seller, but I know I would be if spending my hard earned cash and looking at what's available. Cheers Steve |

I sold my Transit Connect RS turbo'd van to a guy who didn't 'see it'. He sent a guy with a low loader, a list of questions and a brown paper bag full of cash.
I love owning unusual cars, always a keen buyer around the corner. That's a nice 90 someone's going to now own |
