Its in the eyes of the beholder - Well in my eyes the defender is designed to go anywhere - so in view of that I have gone for mine as its a Dormoble conversion, with the mod-cons inside that dont distract from the off-road ability.
Its got some practical features, rather than pretty ones and its not blinged up to the eyeballs as we would rather spend the dosh on a trip than on LED driving lights - that kind of money will go a long way in terms of fuel/miles. This is us in Sweden on our way to Norway after crossing the long bridge from Denmark.... ![]() Click image to enlarge And Switzerland on our way to Italy ![]() Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 ![]() |

You mean the middle one here TJ? I reckon the one at the front sure takes some beating. Classic understatement

Okay, I realise to the pedant it's not a Defender but for a 'A' reg 1984 this was in lovely condition and sounded brilliant with a RV8 in it. But I like the S3 Windows, Lift up handles and the extra grab handle on the door pillar to help Queenie get in and out.
