hmmmm.
yes it is however so bloody fed up with it all thought it might be easier to sort it myself. originally thought it would be a 2 minute job but for some reason its proving to be anything but. I'm off to Swansea Friday and thought it would be good to get it sorted before then but local LR can't get it in with a loan car till Feb but have offered to have a look this Thursday but a - no car and b - I'm convinced it'll be a second visit cos they won't sort it !!! and even if they do it'll be a second visit for the central locking. double Click image to enlarge |

If I knew how to determine if it's an M6 or M8 etc I could probably go measure and let you know but I'm afraid I don't. what I can tell you is they're a popular size and used for numerous other items - I just can't think what else just at the moment. I presume you've not one missing and looking to order a replacement? |

I've got to go to the post office tomorrow (or SWMBO is).
if you want to PM me your address I can post one as I'm sure I've got a spare in the garage. if you're happy with that I'll go have a look to be sure. |

As far as I recall it is an M8, however you are likely to find that the thread in the manifold has eroded away and a replacement machine screw doesn't stay put.
Another example of very poor design, although this is probably on Ford not JLR for a change. |
