I recently replaced the Datatool alarm on my motorcycle. Most alarm, immobiliser systems now come with black cables that are idented for the installer by heatshrink/coloured sleeves thast either get removed or cut off upon installation, this obviously deters any potential thief that may have any level of intelligence about the system.
Unfortunately from what you describe you have no option but to try and source a wiring diagram and 'bell the cables out' with a multimeter or take it to an accredited installer/dealer perhaps? Will not mention anything about identifying the cables before you cut them, but I DO sympathise.....been there, done that, got the friggin' T-shirt.....NEVER again! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Hi Martin thanks for your reply , feel as though I'm capable of finding which wires go where in the loom , like you say just need a wiring diagram of where they go in the immobiliser .
Yes lesson learnt re cutting the wires was late and cold and wanted to get the loom out do I could take it into work the next day , just assumed that they would be different colours argh ! Any one know where I can get a wiring diagram ? |
