Rust (?) stains
Ok. I HATE rust, and I normally hang on to my cars for 10 years or so. So I have had my 90 Zagged from new, every time it gets a wash ACF is sprayed into all it's nooks and crannies, Corrosion Block grease is on most external nuts and bolts, and whenever I read about a rust risk I nip out and double check mine.

Then this morning I spotted this on the passenger floor mat.

It is exiting from the trim here

It looks like rust staining to me, could it be anything else? Assuming it is rust staining, any suggestions as to where it could be coming from. It is going in for it's first service on Tuesday so I will leave the dealer to do the trim disassembly.

Not uncommon I'm afraid. Leave it and show the dealer, say you want it rectified properly. Steve.

Spain 2001 Defender 90 Td5 SW Epsom Green
Got the T shirt for that one Thumbs Up

Mine leaked in exactly the same place, rusty water as well. Water was coming in through the bulkhead to screen frame seal, running along the channel you can just see in the second picture, and dripping in. The channel was rusting hence the rusty stain.

New seal (roof lifted/off job) and rust repaired under warranty.
