I think it may be similar to a Fiat Ducato automatic in my motorhome.
It is really a manual with an automatic clutch rather than a proper auto. It drove great as was a bigger engine than standard, but not as smooth as conventional auto. James French at same named independant LR dealer has one might be worth giving him a ring for feedback. Paul 2020 P300 HSE |

In my last job we had a Renault Traffic automatic ( same vehicle ) and in 2 years we had a new gearbox , new sensors, and 2 further breakdowns which were fixed by the dealer with no explanation, coupled with that it is not very smooth.
I would not recomend it at all. HR064 Hampshire and Berkshire 4x4 Response |

Buy a Transit then you'll have engine parts to put on your Defender when it breaksdown!

Since I typed that 10 mins ago I've been offered a LWB by the same dealer for the same money so I've gone for that instead

That's impressive if you're only buying one ! Dad bought some in December (8 I think?) for the business, and they're really good build quality ! Only fault I could pick out is that you can't change the volume of the radio on the actual radio, it has to be done via the controls on the steering wheel Other than that though, they're good, but be wary of your right foot or you'll soon be paying the price! They go like off a shovel An engine to TDi for!
