For those that enjoy a spot of competitive navigating the next BAMA event will be held at the Bramley Training area nr Basingstoke on the 3rd February.
This is a fantastic and interesting place that was once a WWII ammunition site, complete with disused railway lines. Details per the link below https://dl.dropbox.com/u/49128824/Rickshaw...R%20V1.doc Hope to see some of you there Mark |

Hello James
Yes i will be there. Since this event was opened up to the public - i spent 12 years marshalling at these events via the club i belong to - this will be my fourth time competing. I got priced out of challenge events years ago and these BAMA navigational competitions are so well run such good fun plus you get to drive on land you would never do as a civvy i can quite honestly say that i love these events. Its also one of those events that does not rely on the best car, its all about the best navigator and the best team work If anyone wants to take part but does not belong to a club that holds an MSA licence then contact Bernie via the details on my original thread or pm me as he will arrange a day pass.. Cheers Mark |

we did the last one, they are superb fun. we did the Bramley one in a td5 hardtop with 265MTs, came third. TJ101 and Mountain Man were second in another TD5 on MTs.
they are great days and cheap to enter and non damaging. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

At Longmoor we got up to 40mph on the perimeter road
This time they had 4 speed checks, all of which we saw in advance and so no penalties. Mark |

Well, since it been mentioned !!! there WAS a issue
Mountain Man and I were a fair bit in front at the lunch break.. half the points of 2nd place IIRC (who also happened to be a member of the organizing club !! Within 10 mins of the start of the second half, a speed camera "jumped" out of the hedge, and clocked us on a long strait at 22mph. 2 mph over the limit, the penalty being if i remember, 10 times more that any other event penalty I know when i have been beaten fair and square, also when it been Fixed !! But as i said, good fun ! California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

so 2mph over the speed limit then? and you were doing 22mph......
you imagine the forces are organised enough to plan that!? Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

The instructions do mention a 10 point penalty for speeding.
On that day we saw them when they clocked the car in front so slowed it down. Promise I'll be good next time Mark |
