I understand there will be various 4x4 and trail riding representatives in the meeting and the theory is if we have a massive turn out of cars and bikes showing club banners etc, making a bit of noise but generally peaceful protest to demonstrate the level,of,support and strength of feeling.
There's talk of some kind of,drive along a planned route afterwards but I haven't got detail on that yet! Excuse for a load of us to get together and have a chat and see a few different motors if nothing else! I've chatted to a load of,guys on forums about all kinds of stuff and be good to put a few faces to names! |

Cool. I'll bring that Warn sticker for your winch. You need to see Tommy about your club decals! |

Sorry mate, was sure I had a mail from you asking to reserve a sticker I got in a big publicity pack from a 4x4 supplier! Wrong guy then? Big foil red and silver W for a Warn winch! |

You are correct about the mail, but you replied/quoted the guy (Supacat) asking for more details of the day... Yes, would still like the sticker (I shouldn't be so arsey when you're offering freebies, should I..?) thanks. Cheers Simon |

having too many vehicles may do more harm than good, especially if there's going to be a 'drive along' ?

Damned if you do and damned if don't on this one. Some people have the opinion that the only way to draw attention to the issue is to gridlock the place. Others think softly softly is the way! I don't know what the answer is but I guess you have to be in it to win it! |

Please can we have some further details of the meeting, scheduled for 25jan13?
The Peak District National Park Authority, only shows one meeting on 25jan13, namely the Audit, Resources & Performance Committee, see this link: http://www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/looking-aft...-committee No start time is shown. Don’t want us all to turn up and be on our own. Merlin |

I'll check the details again with PDVUG and glass but it wouldn't be the first that that a meeting was put with a fuzzy description or at 9 AM on a Friday hoping to limit any protest! TRF certainly confirmed this as the meeting for Chapelgate! |

Looks right to me. Having a nosy through the old (Nov 2012 etc) meeting agenda's there is a quite a bit of stuff on TRO's...
e.g. http://www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/index/commi...udit121109 http://resources.peakdistrict.gov.uk/ctte/...tem6-1.pdf I agree it is a vague name for a committee. |
