Ctek charger
This morning I have been busy adjusting the level of my aux high beam lamps and therefore the truck has been running for a while on idle while the Speakers+aux high beams were on. At one point the Speakers started flickering for a few seconds, thereafter they were steady again. Presume this means that the battery charge fell a bit low, probably to around 12V only. I have connected a Ctek charger (800 model) which actually is for my Husqvarna garden mower, and which says that it is able to fully charge batteries from 1.2 Ah to 32 Ah, but which also is suitable for maintenance charging for batteries upto 100 Ah.
The charging light is on (not the maintenance light), I presume that this charger will do the trick to crank my standard LR Varta 90 Ah battery back up to snuff if I leave it overnight?

Yes, but probably it takes (a lot) longer, depends on how empty the battery is now.
The max. charging current of that model is 0.8 A. Say, you have a 70 Ah battery which is now 20% full (i.e. 80% empty). It takes 70 hrs to charge the battery to full 100% then...

( 80% * 70 Ah / 0.8 A = 70 hrs ) Cheers, Vincent

Bedankt Vincent, ( Smile vlaamse origine, maar woon in Zwitserland Laughing

But my battery probably is just a little bit low, I would think just around the 12V mark. If it would be permanently below 12V, then my Speaker LED headlights would constantly rapidly blink, and they only did that this morning while working on the truck for a brief moment. Will leave the C-tek on overnight and hopefully by tomorrow the green maintenance charging light will be on instead of the orange full charging light now. Thumbs Up

OK, I think it will work out OK then.

Off Topic, I was in Switserland this summer for holidays, like it a lot. Stayed a.o. (camping) in Villeneuve.
I like to present the proof of my travels this way: Wink
