Hi all,
My 2010MY Defender was in the Dealers for a step replacement - a saga that has finally been sorted. Anyway I asked them to upgrade the ECU software to the latest version as I had been informed that my software was 18mths out of date. I didn't have any apparent problems but I thought " Why would they update their software if it was OK?". They said they would and assured me that it had been done. Well, the same little bird has told me that it HAS NOT been done. My software Nos: is 7H12-12C520-BJ. Can anyone tell me what the latest software nos: is for the 2.4 Tdci so that I have something to show the Dealers when I take them to task over this. I DO NOT like being mislead but I need some proof. In 3 mths I'll be out of warranty and I would like to sort them out officially before then. Your software number is 7H12-12K532-EDD, an update to that is 7H12-12K532-EDE and uses a boot loader of 7H12-14C273-AA.
This is for 90 a with factory 235/85R/16 pr 7_50R16 wheels, ABS and AC with Euro 4 emissions. Their is currently 24 versions of late 90 software available so hard for most to know the exact for your car as the latest will depend on your cars assembly number as well as its emmisions regulation bracket. Your welcome, I would assume one of two things has happend. The dealer hasnt done as they have said or that they have used a machine that it not upto date with the calibrations.

The ecus has car spacific information in them so would need coding to your car, that said the puma ecu is waterproof and should be ok.
