I see the stock tyres are 235/85/16 General but guess they will be road biased. As I off road a fair bit I will be swapping these straight away for some BF Goodrich. Will the AT's be good enough for muddy conditions or do I really need to go for the MT's? I had MT's on a 90 and found them noisy on the road and a bit slippy in the wet, given that the 110 XS has traction control etc I think the AT's will do.
Don't want to faff around with a second set of rims. Any comments? Andy |

did you ever see the video of me in my black 110 on mars? that has traction control etc and was very impressive on BFG AT's as you can see here

The first thing I did when I bought my 90 was removed the Grabbers, they wear incredibly well and are surprisingly capable off road, but the sidewall is not so tough and when cornering can be quite scary
 I put 265/5/16 BFG A/T's on it and it is transformed both on and off road. The trouble is being 40 going on 18 I couldn't stop there.........

Hi
Does anyone know what size tyres the 130 County Hi Cap Pick Up comes with as standard on the heavy duty rims? I think they are Michelin and very off road biased, so will order BFG AT or General Grabber`s. Picking car up in a few weeks so wanted to get wish list sorted with dealer.. Also I don`t like the individual side steps preferring the rock sliders or side runners, will these fit to a 130 ? Finally has anyone fitted LED bulbs into side/stop and indicator lenses ? You DEFINITELY need to take a look at the Cooper ST tire. A friend runs them and thinks they are great. Extremely good in the mud and sand and snow and good road manners.
They are a bit more "chunky" than the AT models you can get, but no where near as heavy as the mud terrain. I would highly recommend these to you. Very good tires, which will give you the optimum traction for the conditions you want. Regards Landy nut |

Nobody tried the Kumho KL71 MT yet then? Be interested to hear peoples views of them in day top day use

Agree with everything said on the STs, they have taken the mantle of the old Trac Edges as the ultimate 'do it all' tyre IMHO.

Im a firm BFG AT fan - they are surprisingly capable in mud and their wear is fantastic (i lined the ones on my disco up against my mates new ones (mine 2yrs old) and they had worn 1m!!)
Im considering a tyre change (how im going to fund this given the fact i seem to be hemering money at the moment) I would be going for BFG but not sure on the size, none is an issue but my question. Side by side - are the grabber and BFG AT the same real world size (eg does the AT Tread ADD to the overall hight of the tyre??) Mike |

I am probably going for BFG muds, got stuck twice recently with cooper st's on my D3 so want more traction, not sure which size to go for 235/85 or 265/75 any adice to which are better in mud and on the road.

those are 285 75 R16's which flick mud everywhere, but then again i have taken the mud flaps off  |

Yes I did,but had some BFG AT's which just lasted for ever so was very impressed by their quality so decided to stick with BFG, what lift have you got on your beast to fit those tyres.
