What weight can it take once extended out? If it's a good amount then it might be useful for heavier items to avoid lifting right into the back. Just a thought. âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸

We have rails similar to them at work for the servers, some servers weigh a fair bit. If interested I can check the weight of a couple of the servers? 1999 Defender TD5 110

I have made a few projects using heavy duty drawer slides. They can be rated anything up to 160kg but are more often than not designed to work vertically. Lay them horizontally and this will greatly reduce what they are capable of supporting.
Also, the prices can be a little eye watering if you wanted the system to support your body weight. As an example, the highest rated ones I could find which would extend 1 metre and support 160kg were £150 each! There are a huge range of these available with the shorter, lower rated ones being considerably less in price. For utilising the space in the back of your land rover however, the longer the better! |

Blimey, they "run" nicely but that's a bit excessive!! If some fold down props were made to clip on the side it would be proper sturdy!! 90 Puma HT
