And http://nl.autoscout24.be/Details.aspx?id=225326980 Same car... Went for a quick look and at first glance it looked allright. Little worried about the lift. Is it done the wright way? What do you guys think. What do I need to make sure off before offering a price? What price would you suggest? What do you think I need to do/ spend to make it last another say 10 years? Will be mainly used for recreative off roading. Nothing to extreme but I do not want to get stranded in the middle of nowhere. Guess about 1 montgly daytrip with a club, so not just dirt roads but some trial stuff too. That would calculate to about 5000kms / 3500 miles... Currently it's 14000 euros / 11500 pound. |

Seems to have a few nice extras and the milage for year is quite low. As it's been dropped 1,000 Euros from first advert to second I think there may be room for further negotiation perhaps. Nice looking truck at a fair price I think.

A bit more info from the owner:
It was an automatic. Current owner had tamination in autobox and replaced it with a manual box just recently as it should be better offroad too. Hasn't driven it much since. He owns it 3years now and did some roadbooks and trials but nothing extreme. Same as what I intend to do with it. Recently a leak in the oilfilterhousing was fixed too, but hasn't been driven since. He's a mechanic, car is at his employer's lot at the moment, and did all maintenance himself. Polybelt changed at 120000kms, so very recent. About the lift: Different springs, not installed. Koni rally raid shocks Shockmounts and bumps not replaced Radius arms not changed as far as he knows Larger propshaft with double cross Steeringdampers not replaced as far as he knows Extended brakelines not placed as far as he knows No central locking (not standard on a tomb raider???) Winch revised Strengthened flanges and "steekassen" (some kind of axels) Backend sallsbury axel with diffguard. Diff breathers extended for wading. Extra fuel tank to total of 110liters. 25l watertank. 160bhp done by reulsport, a company that mostly build professional offroad machines, mostly defs. In other words, it certainly isn't new but that's expected. The history, though it has seen a lot seems always been done proffesionally or by a mechanic that at least knew something abou cars as it is his current job. The fact his employer allows the car on his lot makes me a bit less worried as it shows some trust in the seller. I may be trying to convnce myself here now. I offered him a professional lookover before a possible buy paid by me, but first a good looking over and testdrive. The guy certainly seems to answer the questions I pose honestly, so at he moment I'm not yet scared away. So, opinions?... |
