Fitting rear seat in Puma 90 hard top
Has anyone retro fitted a factory singe rear folding seat in a Puma hard top ?

I am looking at getting 90 hard top to replace my Transit Connect van and would like the option to fit a single seat in the rear for my grandson to use. I need to option to be able to remove this seat when not in use so I can use all the available load area.

Anyone done it or know of any other option available to me.

a genuine seat would look the best imo like what i did in my td5, i fitted the puma type sides and it looked ace when it was all done plus its only a few bolts and there out easily enough. I just fitted a single seat for a local forum member last weekend, was a tip up base which doesnt really get in the way once folded Thumbs Up

just updated the post mate, erm if you used riv nuts it would only be removing a few bolts when needed Thumbs Up CSK Automotive

Isn't fitting an inward facing seat in a post 2007 vehicle illegal though ? An engine to TDi for!

No probs mate, I wasn't sure Thumbs Up An engine to TDi for!

Mine has inward facing.. No problems. Sold by main dealer and passes MOT. Only much good for a local trip though wouldn't want to go far sat in them. (Mainly down to the angle) WeWillWinπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

not on me but they are very simple there is two bolts in the top arch holding the seat down and off the top of me head 4 on the bottom piece, as i said if you was to use riv nuts it would be very easy to get them out Thumbs Up CSK Automotive

What sort of money do you think one second hand seat might go for ?

Is seat belt all on the seat or fitted to body ?

that shows the bolts alot clearer mate. Seat belt wise i fitted retractable lap belts to mine but the genuine option means you need brackets etc which actually dont add up to that much money :thumbsup:

Just bear in mind if you want to fit a genuine rear seat, you'll also need to replace the rear wheel cover [see Killer's pic] as a hardtop will come with flat top cover [seat wont clear this] Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

Thumbs Up good point Dave the most important bit i forgot Whistle Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Someone has adapted the seat frame to work with a standard arch but i cant see there being much room Big Cry CSK Automotive
