You can certainly do better - mine are okay but definitely NOT as impressive as the eBay pictures Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Go to a scrap yard
Locate a Peugeot 405 Remove wipers and fit plastic squirt bits to Defender wiper arms. |

Do they all have washers? No scrap yards around here - I'd have to be very specific what I asked for when I ordered it Do you happen to have a pic where they fit on yours? Is it in the middle of the blade? Cheers Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Wow! So they stretch the full length of the wiper blade - huge
First time that's been mentioned and not at all obvious from Peugeot 405 spares sites. No wonder I couldn't find them Thanks - off to search further... Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Just looked carefully (in the dark) and I see why it isn't essential to have full-length squirting:
Click image to enlarge The system I have squirts about 4-6" wide under the blade (so behind it on the upstroke) but as the blade returns back down (mine is LHD) you can see it spreading down along the blade so the whole screen is cleared (Camera is a bit low down - the wash is actually more in the line-of sight) Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Tell someone you love them today because life is short. Just a thank you to ZeDefender and the forum ...
washer jet fractured (bird strike? froze solid & fractured here in Chur?) and instead of pulling dash apart.... simply pulled apart replacement in a vice (yep, real stiff) and tapped new jet back on the stub. - fancier fixes can be done when I have a shed back in UK or Oz. The compiled knowledge here, from main bearings to washer jets .. is more than handy .. Sold the much modified 110 2.8, in Oz Brought the 90 home from Switzerland ... |

I totally forgot when I mentioned (possibly in another post) that I was going to do this and share the photos. I did it about 2 weeks ago. Made a very simple job of it.
I cut the bit sticking out off the original washer jet (with the front part removed) and then I used a rubber mallet to knock a 3mm T-piece (slightly trimmed to fit) then simply used some thick 3mm rubber pipe (which has an overall width of 7mm). This helps it stop freezing. I didn't use any non-return valves as I actually want the water to drain back slightly. After 2 subzero mornings, so far no frozen pipes. The clips are simply edge clips that I put some self-amalgamating tape underneath to protect the paint and stop the gutter rusting.
