I guess it must be a misbuild? Or are my expectations too low?
Noisy. Lumpy gear change. Slow throttle response from idle. Shunt/knock from the drivetrain, but it's a Defender and I'll be honest it's what I expect from one. So am I wrong and should I be sending my dealer's warranty figures through the roof with some "on customer complaint" claims? 54 Freelander modded for mud 2008 D3 SE 2010 90 XS SW 1978 88 Series 3 undergoing surgery with a new owner 2007 90 County Truck Cab - gone 2006 D3 SE - gone 2004 Freelander Sport - gay 1999 Disco V8 ES rotted to bits |

Al,
Mine was the same. Remember that horrendous noise the transmission was making on the Salisbury Plain trip? I've had a new clutch, gear stick assembly and ecu upgrade on warranty and its fine now. By the way, has anyone ever mentioned a striking resemblance to this fella?? Sorry, but Maire mentions it every time she see's him on the TV Cheers Ian |

When I think of NoDo$h he always reminds me of Blodwyn on Taff Wars I would have voted but the 'Get it checked you Poof' option is not available |
