Best of luck, hope it's going well! I trapped my finger between the door frame and the sofa trying to get it through... Luckily it's a leather sofa so the blood was easily cleaned! Also realised that when everyone on the street is in and parked outside, there's a space that's the perfect size for a 90 outside my door ..... The Transit doesn't fit! |

Well we're in, been a long day and the weather has been horrendous . Left Plymouth this morning at 7.00am in torrential rain. The 90 didn't feel right but put it down to weight of trailer and the high wind. However 20 miles in and was considering pulling over and calling AA. Power was down and it was coughing going up a slight incline. Clutch in and gave it some wellie, seemed to cure it, so don't know whether it was some air in the fuel or all the water on the road finding its way into the air inlet on the side of the wing !
However it still didn't seem right for most of the journey. Still think it was the weight of the trailer although I've towed heavier in the past. Will see what it's like once the trailer is off. It did have a service last week so could have been air in the fuel. Removals turned up on time but could not get on the drive due to overhead cables, so parked half on and half off the Southampton Road.........much to the annoyance of passing vehicles. Unloaded in pouring rain but all went smoothly. So we're now resident in Hampshire, met at the house by the rather attractive estate agent, she handed over keys and then said 'nice Defender, I've got one as well, think their great'........... Think ill quite like living here 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top |

Fitted the Entreq Light Guards I got from Brendan.
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge And very nice they are too. Next job is to get the River Runner LED light set from Tim at Mobile Centre, to finish the lighting upgrades and to improve the security of the front headlamps (the river runners are bolted on from behind). I was originally going to fit riv nuts with security bolts to fix on the guards but thought the thieving scrots would just rip the guards off no matter how they were secured. Brian. Very smart and businesslike Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
