coco the clown and my dashboard.
loosing the faith.........no ...............loosing the will to live.

photo perhaps doesn't make it clear but perhaps you get the idea - this is how it was left after the park switch for the wipers was replaced after warranty work.

Factory fit and finish then - I'll have you know the guy who replaced that was trained on the Longbridge production line fitting Montego doors, then he was promoted to water ingress control on the Discovery line!

Rolling with laughter

you're probably right - on both accounts.

re; the toys. just can't be bothered anymore....they did suggest I bring it back for them to re-fit but its too much of pain the ass.

so to the questions - the round vent pushes back in....the main facia doesn't see to want to so I guess its the two torq bolts that need to be undone - pull it off and refit?

loss of enthasiasm is due to the approx 4 months its been off the road since new....
new ecu
2 or 3 visits for leaks
wiper motor
various corrosion issues
transfer box / clutch
I'm sure there's other stuff to but lost count when it stopped being funny !
- and I'm sure its not right now but just hope it breaks before the warranty is up.

Sad

OMG - what a bunch of cruel, spiteful, unrelenting idiots - I can believe they have left a Allison Moorer CD in your stereo...

Hold on - is that yours???

Are we just talking about the Passenger heater vent hanging out, and centre panel not fitted properly....
Still a bunch of idiots!

I'll put your dash back together for you if needed.... and we can send them the invoice!

yes two torx bolts and it unclips, I haven't even put the bolts back in yet, clips are strong.

Ring the dealer principal, ask for an order number and invoice them for the re-work as its a dealer cost not a LR cost.

I had a similar issue with the bunch at Droitwich years ago, wasn't worth the grief in the end, I know I lost them at least 3 sales though, much the same with Stratford as well.

Embarassed

was a bit embarassed to post photo with said cd in......unfortunately didn't notice when I took photo - oops.
(I did have to give it back to technician Very Happy )

passenger vent pushed back.

just need to refit centre bit.....should it push back? doesn't seem to want to go so I'm guessing its off and try again ? (don't want to push too hard as I don't know whats behind that might break ?)

Ian - thanks for the offer but I'll have a go myself first (I'll know for next time then).

Lol...

Wayne, if you get stuck - it's literally 2 seconds to do the dash for you. Would pop to yours and do it for a coffee.

you're always welcome to pop round for a coffee but I'm in / out like a fiddlers armpit (you might be thinking - but your car is always there ? been using the wife's motor more and more cos it works Sad )

I must make sure mine breaks before the warranty runs out !

Much the same for me in the early days, 1 really bad dealer, 1 who couldn't be bothered (I think they mainly sold Range Rovers) and then found Lookers Park Royal, breath of fresh air and seem to know what customer service and loyalty are.

Give it another go with a different dealer, always fill in the dealer feedback forms honestly and also ring up LR customer service.

maybe they could fix it " upstairs at erics" ; but don't take the shoddy workmanship personally because its not "only you"
