Ok heres one for you, which is the best in snow, all on standard tyres.

I'd guess for normal road driving in the snow - Freelander - the lighter the better.
(One of the best cars for snowy roads was the old panda 4x4, light & on skinny tyres.) Might be different choice for off-roading in snow... where ground clearance & articulation would be more relevant? |

TBH any of them would be great in snow, not sure why the votes for the FL1 though, they are only part time 4wd and you have to rely on the viscous coupling locking up to give you traction at the rear, my D1 copes very well in snow, never had any issues at all and no TC fitted. Andy
