You planning another excursion on the Plain later this month and if so what date do you have in mind. My brother wants to come down from staffordshire with his very nice 200 tdi 90. He needs notice as it will take him a week at the speed his 90 travels 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top

Are there any passenger rides going?

It's embarrassing to say (and i'm sure the purist' will slate me) but the X-Tech is too new to get Salisbury in its crevasses.

appaloosadude - BPman is very considerate of peoples defenders on his trips and from experience it is a scratch free time out on the plains. Thumbs Up .

If you are interested in a gentle but muddy day out on the plains on the 29th December, please PM me your email address and I'll send you the details.

Over the Christmas period the plains do get very busy. As a group we are responsible, keep to the tracks and speed limits but we'll still have fun

The plains will be muddy and you will never get Salisbury silt off your truck unless you have a steam cleaner, so it's not for "shineys" unless its a dealership "loaner" Rolling with laughter

Last year, the ice was about 4" / 13cm thick in some of the puddles, unforgiving and could damage bodywork if you are not careful.

Depending on numbers, we may split into a couple of groups (5-6 vehicles per group)

Format of day: Meet & chat, drive/explore, coffee, explore more, lunch/bbq, drive, coffee, finish at dusk.

B&Bs are available near where we start... campsites are quiet too for those brave enough Thumbs Up
