hi there, im a new member to this fourm and though i would introduce my defender dory. she first started life as a 1992 200tdi van and my weekend warrior. i did abuse it and was originally going to be building her into a winch challenge truck.
she used to look like this. its the middle one. Click image to enlarge i then stripped her down and brought a v8 disco to use the engine gearbox and axles out of. The engine was set in stone one i brought all the stuff to megasquirt it. however half way through the year i ended up starting my own company an needed something that i could use for work and play. the defender met my needs and luckily i had not gone to far so although ive kept the v8, autobox and and axles everything else had changed, td5 tub, td5 rear tank, new roof and sides, td5 front wings. i now have something that differs from what i originally wanted but instead something that turned out to be everything i wanted .if that makes sense. so heres dory as shes finished Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge anyway theres still plenty to do to her to make it more suitable for work and so plenty more pictures to come thanks for looking tom Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Thanks guys, still lots to do but it seems tonight the v8 has decided to drink something other than fuel, looks like I have a head gasket gone and water leaking into the bores when it's cold, oils not milky and I can't find any water leaks Www.thssufolk.co.uk

Rimini red in 2 pack, Think it was about £107 a liter.
yes the doors are great but do wish i at times i had the modern day doors but decided ill just wait till i can afford a puma. found the problem of the water leak, turned out to be a leaking core plug behind the driver side engine mount. which is a pain in the arse to replace. Www.thssufolk.co.uk |
