Hi there
I fitted an Eberspacher D2 in the rear which is a blown hot air heater. The webasto thermo top C can be fitted as its a stand alone unit that is plumbed into the water system and the only connection to the vehicle is power for the webasto and then a feed to the blower motor |

What are you try to achieve? do you want a warm cabin or do you want to pre warm the engine?

Plan A is to pre warm engine and cab, the probelm is finding room to fit the heater on a Puma (above the water line)
but .... Plan B is a blown air system just to warm the cab |

I think you can mount the webasto down low if needed as it relies on the vehicle header tank

I have the Thermo Top P installed in my 110 MY10. The P line is apparently more suitable for Vans and big offroad vehicles. Webasto (at least here in Switzerland) offers mounting kits for the Defender TDCI. Very professional stuff.
So far it works well, though the air intake sucks in exhaust gases from the webasto (have the smell of burned diesel in the cabin... which is not funny. Going to install a snowcover these days and if the situation does not approve, I will have the webasto exhaust relocated. Regards George The goons are trying to bring me down! This is the underbonnet layout of the UK spec defender - might be a bit of a squeeze getting the Webasto in here:
