Hanging myself again:
I first looked at the post - found the text (without really considering the photo) funny - thought about the photo and thought it inappropriate - looked properly at photo and felt happy, reminding me what a blessing all kids are and of the wonderful young man across the road. Still think the text/photo combination is inappropriate but glad the photo is there as it actually makes me happy. This may seem completely irrelevant, but we live near Dachau and I find preserving the Nazi work camp there completely inappropriate. I, and many German friends, wish they would remove it but at the same time it is a reminder that we can all be better people. Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Assuming that's aimed at me I don't think I suggested anywhere I was trying to justify anything. |

Now that lightens the place up,, Funny or what
Creeping will get you everywhere John Going back to the original topic,, I too have noticed the various "issues" that has been mention,, While i have no problem having some "site sponsors" and their posts of valuable information for the befit of the Defender community However I do now seam to be ignoring more topic's where products are repeatedly, trying to be push down our throat, and then various "back slapping" posts follow by their supporting members in that click !! Wow betide anyone that happens to post up, and question why its better that other similar products on the market, and why is it so expensive, as always seams to be the case !!! Are all Defender2 owners just interested in expensive "bling" !!! and the site sponsors see them as a soft touch But then everyone to their own, all Defender and their owners are different, that's why we buy and modified them to our own needs California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

In this 'PC' World of ours there are many people just waiting in the wings to complain about the slightest thing. Whilst Glyn's posting may or indeed may not have been in poor taste to some, the image concerned is both commercially available and widely distributed across the internet.
Maybe if those that find it so abhorrently offensive (including those that felt compelled just to register to vent their spleen) directed their 'gumbumping' and complaints at those that own the copyright to the image something productive for all mankind may result. Let's hope the weather's better tomorrow as there will be much more interesting things to do perhaps? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! +1 There is far worse around... I personally don't feel compelled to join in this thread or convocation what so ever as it seems to me to be more a b****ing & moaning / squabbling thread more than the con-current title "Freedom of speech" This thread heading along in it's current direction I can also see soon being deleted due to being of a sensitive nature. Not only that the whole forum is really supposed to be Defender related (or similar) not for general chit chat and sniping at one another. This is probably the reason why some of the most valuable long established forum members tend not to post even though their information is vital to the questions that some people ask. I myself early this year NEARLY made the decision to stop using the site completely due to a certain now removed forum member. No doubt I hope the forum policing officer (K9F) will support me on this. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

If I'm that Brian mentioned above then +1
Well said Tim. It would be a sad state of affairs if every Defender looked the same with the same mods, remaps etc from the same suplliers, then to me it would be just another eurobox without any character. I am not. |
