Having decided to treat my 2010MY 90 XS to an early Xmas present and having read everything on the forum regarding Remaps etc, also as I have 6mths to go on my warranty and being reassured by Pete that if the tune is returned to standard the Dealer cannot detect that a different tune has been used, I took the plunge.
Ordered late Monday evening . Delivered to work Wednesday afternoon. Standard tune file copied to Bas Box and emailed to Pete early evening. Tuned file emailed 1 hr later and loaded into Defender. Today first trip. What a difference. Power and more Power. Top speed now 90 ( at my request ). Smooth acceleration in all gears, snappier gear changes. This is as it should be. I asked about economy as I have the EGR shut. As Pete said there are too many variables etc to quote figures, BUT on the 60 mile round trip up the Welsh valleys I normally get 11.3 Lt/100Km according to my Scanguage. Today it was 9.9 Lt/100Km. As I had just filled up yesterday we will see the correct MPG when I next take on Fuel. Very, very happy Defender Driver. Nice one!! I've had Pete's remap on my 09 defender since new, it's been to the dealers on numerous occasions, all mapped back to standard, and never a raised eyebrow - just a big grin from me!! 2009 XS 110 Utility Stornaway Grey
