Did the see the lines of Land Rovers all queued up as they entered the new MI6 bunker? Pretty obvious Land Rover were suppliers of the cars, hence the Defender.
It's a good film, I like the earthy Bond over the comic book version. Seems to be a good advert for GB as well. |

There was an evoque in bunker to. JLR supplied around 80 vehicles. Still it's good to see land rovers in the thick of it on the big screen being seen by millions.

Going off the topic a little but I noticed the other day while watching me and mrs jones that every street they filmed in had at least one land rover in it. I reckon they really are pushing the product placement way of thinking.

Albert Finney (as a faithful retainer) 9. A new Q 10. A new M What more do you want? ps. Bond cannot be a blond, they should have got Clive Owen for Bond rather than Daniel Craig (although he is quite good) |

Apparently, they made a 1/3 scale replica using the worlds biggest 3d printer, so they could mistreat it as much as they wanted to. I took the missus and kids to see it on Sunday and we thought it was brilliant. The last half an hour had a bit of a McGyver/A-team vibe ( with all the materials for home made weapons you'd find lying around a derelict Scottish castle ! ) but it was very slickly directed and Javier Bardem simply stole every scene - shame he wasn't in that many of them. I always thought the 007 thing was a bit daft but Daniel Craig has brought a new dimension to the whole character
And while on the fantasy character theme why hasn't Martin Freeman been considered for Dr Who ? He'd be the best ever I reckon |
