Am also in bucks and heard good things about rustmaster in Hatfield.
That's where I'll be going next year I think. I also believe they did a forum discount offer a few years ago if you search 'rustmaster'. =================================== Steve 90 xs sw in Stonoway Grey - Sold 110 USW X-TECH |

I usually don't mind paying the professionals to do jobs on my truck, but remembering that I waxoyled by Dolly Sprint when I was a young lad I thought I'd give it a go on the Defender.
Duly bought a £100 worth of Dinitrol aerosols and pipes etc, plenty of old towels, cardboard on the drive etc and set to work. Following the rejel instructions and others found here I found it was dead easy and rather satisfying. A top job and £300-400 saved into the bargain plus the hassle of driving half way across the country and losing use of the truck for a few days. Admittedly I did it in the warmth of August so everything flowed nicely and cured nicely. For the sake of one day I now know that the job has been done properly and I shall be doing an annual top-up to the key parts next summer. Why don't you give it a go yourself? The only problem was I lost the grommet where the LHD wipers go - 40p from LR to replace |

I think I'm going to go the same route as Steve. After a bad experience (the Landy was smothered in wayoil (the bodywork inc. the roof), brakes were covered (nearly went straight over the 1st t junction as I couldn't stop), found no trace of wayoil in the front of the chassis when I took the front bumper off and paid top money as well as traveling 150m to a well known 'specialist' , the car lent to me also had no tax on it!) I'd rather spend a day under it myself.

Buy a compressor and use Dinitrol Products, pretty straight forward. Hardest part is getting the Landy clean.
Compressor then really useful - you'll never realise how you managed without it!! All for the price of a basis 'professional treatment'. Steve ![]() Discovery 3 HSE BMW 330i Coupe |
