If I had a pair of good condition professionally painted doors to sell I wouldn't be laying them down on gravel.

Fekete - Sounds about right for here.
Yobbie - I agree. Regardless of the paint it wouldn't do the door cards much good either. Hopefully (IF) it's some thieving scum bag I hope he stores the bonnet somewhere up high in his bedroom and it falls off onto his head in the night when he cuddles up to his tart. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

What's the point. Its not like they'll be punished. Soft lame uk judicial system. Don't know why the use the word judicial as there is no justice in this lame county
Someone should go round and shot the guy if proven nicked ..... Or at least nick ALL of his stuff. |

Looks like the doors came off a left-hooker (the key slot is on the LH door). I can't quite make out from the photo whether the electrical harnesses to the doors have been cut, but it looks like it.
It may be entirely legit and he may have bought them for a project, had them sprayed, and then canned the project, but it does seem odd that it is the three bits most easily nicked and absolutely nothing else. If they are nocked he isn't very smart putting the three items together on fleabay at the same time, with nothing else, and with no feedback! |

Why would you buy just a spare wheel for a project?

Looking at these again I am not sure that they have been resprayed since coming off the "donor" vehicle.
Reasons:- - The lettering on my bonnet is body colour, so nothing fishy there. - The screws holding the hinges to the bonnet are unpainted (as on an ex-works Defender), so if it has been repainted the hinges were taken off when it was done, painted separately and refitted, or the screws have been replaced after painting (and why would anyone bother?). - If the doors have been resprayed a different colour to the original they have been fully stripped and then reassembled. It is I suppose possible that the photo that suggests it was a LHD "donor" has been flipped and it was in fact an RHD. |
