JE engineering do a stud and spacer kit as does IRB developments.
But I would say that you don't just have a broken stud, but you have a warped exhaust manifold. If this is the case you need to get yours skimmed, then refitted with new studs. And don't be tempted to fit second hand or new manifold unless this has already warped and already been skimmed. Andy |

You might also want to consider partly grinding out the webs in between the manifold branches. I had exactly the same problem shortly after a remap, broken stud and warped manifold. I exchanged the old one for the modified version and have had no problems since then. According to my LR garage this is a common failure following a remap. He also claims he's had no failures of the modified manifolds. Time will tell but so far no issues.

Andy's right.
I've used the JE stud kits on several heavily mapped Td5's and none have ever come back with this issue when the JE kit has been used, and the manifold skimmed. |

The IRB kit isn't strictly speaking a stud. Since having the original manifold skimmed and the IRB kit fitted I have had no problems. Have been running it with a lot more boost than standard and it has been fine.

Thanks for the advice,got the kit from JE,with difficulty extracted flush broken stud from rearmost hole,I called JE as they recommend re drilling manifold holes to 9.2to9.5mm,but this is a non standard drill size to acquire,so they explained that using a round file to elongate the holes in a fore and aft manner would suffice, as the heat expands the manifold in that plane,and this allows for the movement.Have now put back together and what a difference the remap now making sense.Many thanks to the guys at JE

Basically all of the kits are about allowing the manifold to move without breaking the studs or worse the head. Using longer studs allows greater movement without more elasticity.
