Good luck fitting anything in behind there & I doubt it would make much difference either. Soundproofing the footwells seatboxes and so on is worth doing though. Various brands Noisekiller Dynamat ect and so other stuff on E-bay cheaper too. Regards Focal I have Kenwood kit so can't comment. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

Focal are pretty high end audiophile stuff. You'll never ever hear what they are all about in even the most soundproofed of Defenders.

I purchased an active sub today as from various reads and advice it seems to be the simple route to sound depth. I went for the focal 25cm unit, mainly because at £210 new I couldn't resist the deal Darren

I just fitted a focal sub and left the OEM speakers, sounds fine for a defender, why not try a sub first and go from there ?

my sub is fitted under the 2nd row seats, would not fit under driver seat and not sure I'd like the "feeling" of bass under my seat

Thanks for the replies. I have the sub already it's currently plummed in but lieing on the floor in the back. I was thinking about screwing it to the back of the cubby box. My wife didn't like it under the seat. I have a good head unit.
Killer I see you have we'll sound proofed your 90 where did you get your soundproofing from? I am getting the noise killer under bonnet stuff but don't mind trimming and sorting the other stuff myself. Is it best to use pads or spray on stuff I've seen? Right I was looking at the pc100 focal speakers thought £85 was a good price. Thanks for all the replies, I was going to swap my 90 yet again but think the money would be best put into making it a nicer place to do 500 odd miles a week on my own. |
