I was having a look on AULRO and a company mulgo i think do a kit so that the rear doors on a S/W will open alot further upto 90 degrees than they do as std does anybody over here do such a kit

Yes there is difference in price!
The Entreq kit is a professionally engineered replacement stainless bracket whereas the Mulgo is a kit which most of us could knock up in our garages/sheds. If you want top quality professionally engineered equipment then it will be difficult to beat Entreq quality. Oddly enough people do comment on the prices of Entreq gear in comparison to other gear available. Yes there are often cheaper versions around, but often people look at the alternatives and then decide to pay more for the Entreq quality. Companies like Entreq also design and make good quality gear which other companies then rip off the designs and then make lower quality. Items. Now if you want to inform us about companies making good quality equipment then we would be interested to hear about them. As I often say sort out your needs first, then your wants inside your budget. You makes your decision ( hopefully informed) then pays your money. Brendan |

A couple of general points about kit and prices.
I have said that the Entreq rear door adjustment brackets are engineered. The original bracket and the alternatives all have the actual door strap pivoting on a bolt thread, whereas the Entreq one pivots on a larger diameter plain shank. It shows Entreq actually thinks about the design and engineering principles. Prices! On some items I have seen some copies of items we sell on various websites being sold for more then the original items.  We have been offered some of these copies at trade prices 20% higher then the trade price on the originals. Guess what? Yep we will keep to the originals 
When deciding to buy items, yes consider the price and your budget , the quality of the gear you want to buy, as well as customer service. Remember if things are cheap there are normally good reasons why! Brendan |

Looking at the photos of the Entreq and Mungo kits back-to-back it's pretty clear why the Entreq kit costs more. See http://www.defender2.net/forum/post181781.html#181781 for the Entreq photos.

I don't think it's "odd" that people comment on the price of entreq gear.
i agree they do indeed make some nice accessories but this one takes the ..... |

Wonder what the shipping is from Aus though (if they will ship to UK) - its $15.95 to ship to Adelaide btw I did see those when I was over there and I thought they looked like they would rattle. It's a fact that Brendan isn't my biggest fan (for reasons I no not why ?) and either ignores my posts or replies with the word 'WRONG', in consequence I find it hard to jump to his defence by default, however, in this instance I will (well actually not his per se but this Entreq product)
On the weekend I tried to replicate the function of the Entreq bracket by moving my existing one and redrilling the fixing holes, it worked but looked hideous. I then tried bending up a piece of steel to make my own, after several hours of 'sodding around' I then decided that actually the Entreq version IS nicely engineered and is "reasonably" priced for what is probably a low volume product. It's not 'cheap' by any means but you have to take into account that £64 includes VAT, Carriage from Germany, Carriage to you and Brendan's mark up (a neccessary evil otherwise he wouldn't be in business and we'd have to support him on the social  )
It also has to be noted that the other version (that is cheaper) does the same job BUT not in the same way so isn't really comparable ... Do I get a better discount on those light guards now Brendan  |
