The Entreq lamp guards over the Speaker 8700 LED headlights on our black 110. Notice it is held on with security fittings.

LED headlights are a reasonable cost investment and it is worth protecting them with lamp guards. The style of the preferred lamp guard is a matter of personal preferences. A decent lamp guard will slow down a would be thief. Using security fittings on a lamp guard should slow down the scumbags even more.

Using Speaker indicators with them will slow them down more. Anyone can carry a set of Torx/Security bits but unbolting the indicators from inside is going to be much harder to do.

Has anybody tried just pulling these guards, despite them being held with security screws it can't be that hard to just rip them off and at £200 plus I'd be just as worried about the guards going missing Shocked

If I were a thief, I would always carry a set of bolt cutters with me (if they weren't so heavy I would carry them anyway as I think they're cool).

What about these Speaker indicators? Can I fit them with my newly-acquired 8700s (the basic ones)? Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Let's face it there is no such thing as perfect vehicle security! All you can do is try and deter the opportunist thief and hopefully delay a would be thief so he goes after another victim.

ZeDefender,

Yes you can fit the Speaker indicators and side lights - a bit of a pain because they fit from behind the wing, but further add to security.

All the best,

Headlights arrived today (under wifey's radar) so looks like indicators will be next job... but only if I can get them past the TÜV Confused Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

Have there been any problems fitting the rings on these lights?? I've heard they've been a tight fit for some.
