There is no limit. After all the issues I had they still insisted on repairing the car. The enterprise loan car hire costs alone were more than the value of my (now sold) utility.

There isnt a limit - but there are ways they limit it, eg: if a repair fails it should be the dealer that fixes it at their cost - although this doesnt apply to all things, paint work etc is one. Mike

why do you need to have a full respray? Also, you've had a new gearbox. What made you realise that you needed it. Ours is a bit stiff from 2nd to 3rd and makes a kind of grating noise, but they say this is normal? LAND ROVER DEFENDER 110 XS SW 2.4 |

Always worth getting someone to drive with you.
I had problems with my first Freelander that was explained away as "oh that sounds normal". After a test drive with a mechanic, I had a new gearbox two days later Altogether that car had: New Engine New gear box New clutch New clock/radio display New power steering hoses Repair to central locking Repair to drivers electric window New rear brakes shoes (I think that might have been a re-call) And various other things I can't even remember now. As it had a full valet inside and out every time it went in, the service staff used to refer to my visits as "warranty washes". We worked out in the two years I owned it, they washed it 11 times, I think I only did it myself 3 times I sold it three days after the warranty ran out! However I must say i have always been impressed by the service from Land Rover, I was most impressed to be contacted for a re-call on my Discovery to have the fuel tank replaced, it was eleven years old at the time MAD COW 2007 90 Hard Top - 2009 BMW F800GS - 2002 CCM 604E Dual Sport Project90 |

its been very strange
after the new head was leaking oil clutch problems and the transfer box leaking when my dealer had returned it saying its all fixed . my land rover customer relations executive asked if i would be so kind as to take it a recommended repairer not a dealer ? they gave me the address and off i went. they do jaguar and landrover servicing only they replaced the clutch again and put two seal in the transfer box that were missing from new build and updated the ecu . replaced the clutch slave cyinder and bearing had it back a week and its now got fuel rail problems again they had a look at the paint and said it need a respray if you hold a light over the paint you can see the white primer and the black is just a thin coat on all panels so not sure now which way its going as they don't want to respary it with a cost of over 6k yes nidge i still have the black abertross around my neck as it a company van its a bit harder just to out it dan |

I was wondering.
Do all these warrantly claims cost land rover? it struck me the other day when a friend of mine had a shower / tiling refitted due to a problem with the house. No cost to the house builder simply got the sub contractor to put it right? does land rover not have some recall on the manufacturer who must I presume provide some sort of warranty with the goods they supply? |

Is it possible to renew the warranty on the land rover for another 3 years once it comes to an end? How much does it cost? Any ideas? '08 LR Defender 110

Yes you can The price is based on the condition of the car at 3 years ie mileage, level of work and service history. The price could be anything from £300 to £800. There will also be limitations on what you can claim. In other words its not as good as the original but should be worth taking out |

Cheers Andrew, I do plan to extend my warranty on my '08 D110, but I don't drive the car that much I have only put 17,500 kms on the clock and it has been serviced 3 times already as per dealers instructions (10,000km or 6 months which every comes first) as it is not my work car just mostly take out on weekends.
