Well folks im afraid i have to report disappointment.
Our 90xs has NO carpet in the back at all. It has the thinnest piece of rubber known to man in the central floor section and exposed paint everwhere else. The front has the same covering as base and county models, which is no bad thing for a defender but zilch in the back. We wont be taking delivery of ours as the back will be wrecked in weeks, cant believe theres no covering In the loadspace. For now sticking with our current model. Incidentally ive fired a concern down to land rover about this as i know the idea to drop carpets was apparantley based on customer feedback. I think the error here has been removing the choice? |

Bit confused, I thought you worked for a dealership? The 13my Bulletin we all had ages ago clearly stated no carpet. |

Indeed i do work for a dealership.
I understood the no carpet bit and thought it a good idea for working defenders but cant help but think that the lack of any protective cover on a station wagon is a backwards step. Surely extending the plastic/rubber front coverings was the way to go? Protection that offers easy maintainence? |

The new head units are Alpine but I think they are made for LR so I doubt you would be able to buy one from an ICE shop etc, just as you could not buy the Sony unit from anyone other than LR Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free
"UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. "OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. "HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence. "TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you. |

Thanks, had a look at the manual of this radio. For the phone hands free it needs a microphone connected. Where did they place this on the dash?

LR sure are cutting down on things. Why don't they put a couple more 12v sockets in practical places, or offer that as an extra?
Glad the analogue clock has been kept. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender |
