Your powers of detection astound me Dr Sherlock... I didn't paint the whole needle The underside of the standard needle is painted white - and then the base of the needle is illuminated when you turn the lights on - and by reflection the whole needle gets illuminated. All I tried was repainting the underside of the needle in Keswick green to contrast against the black dash.... and in my opinion it didn't look right. By painting the underside, the needle still illuminates as intended Ian IRB The home of the first modified Keswick Green 90 - and the first 2.4 Puma through both the 200bhp and 550Nm barriers. www.IRBdevelopments.com www.facebook.com/irbdevelopments www.integrated316.com www.facebook.com/integrated316 |

If the needles bother people, why not bin them and stick a Scangauge to the dash. Who needs analogue anyway Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

There are some much better options than a Scangauge.... Ian IRB The home of the first modified Keswick Green 90 - and the first 2.4 Puma through both the 200bhp and 550Nm barriers. www.IRBdevelopments.com www.facebook.com/irbdevelopments www.integrated316.com www.facebook.com/integrated316 |

When I was 22 and had a blue Peugeot 309, I thought it would be really cool to colour code all the plastic inside by spraying it red, white and blue - did a really neat job too. Also had a big white spoiler for the back, some white spoke rims and offroad tyres. Sort of going for the "rally" look. Handling was bloody awful (I had to cut down the calipers), the ride was worse and it went slower (? I think the tyres screwed up speedo) but I was happy.
Everyone thought I looked like a plonker. I'm not sure I disagree. I'd like to say I've grown out of such foolishness... but then I wouldn't have bought a Defender Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
